Jerome Hiquet is the Chief Marketing Officer of Tough Mudder Inc, a family of brands including Tough Mudder, a series of 10-12 mile military-style obstacle courses; Mudderella, an obstacle course series created by women for women; Urban Mudder, a city-based event merging an obstacle challenge with a full-day festival; Fruit Shoot Mini Mudder, a custom event for children ages 7-12; and World’s Toughest Mudder, a grueling 24-hour endurance competition. In 2015, the company will hit its 2 millionth participant as it hosts more than 60 events on three continents.
As CMO, Hiquet brings strategic vision and a global perspective to the premier endurance event series at a time of expansive growth. Hiquet has more than 15 years of experience in Europe and North America – most recently at Club Med as VP of Marketing & Digital, North America & VP of Marketing & Sales, Mexico.
As Club Med’s VP of Marketing & Digital, North America, Hiquet oversaw all marketing strategy, including brand development, product strategy, customer value maximization, and Digital Commerce, for the US and Canada markets. This work was recognized with a “2012 U.S. Rising Star” award within the Top Young Travel Industry Professionals 35 and Under category.
Simultaneously, Hiquet acted as Club Med’s VP of Marketing & Sales, Mexico. His responsibilities included boosting turnover and profitability for Club Med in Mexico through all business drivers, including marketing, pricing, distribution, transportation, and more.
Prior to Club Med, Hiquet spent four years leading CRM efforts at Voyages-sncf.com, the #1 e-commerce company in France. Earlier in his career, he held several Marketing roles at Accor Group in the headquarter in Paris
Hiquet holds a degree in Marketing from Bordeaux Business School in France and a Business International Specialization from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico. His achievements have been recognized internationally with accolades from Marketing Direct Magazine and eCommerce Magazine in France; he was also recently listed by PRWeek as one of the Top 40 Marketing Innovators to watch in 2015.
