Marjorie Madfis, Worldwide Digital and Social Marketing Strategist, IBM Software Group, has been a leader and innovator in interactive marketing since joining IBM in 1995. Marjorie has led transformation projects to reposition the IBM Software website for lead generation using customer centric web design, recognized by SiteIQ. She guided the global deployment of the Software home page and 25 software solution pages in 60 countries, each with local content and in local language, featuring local IBM subject matter experts. For her effective use of viral video for lead generation, Marjorie won a DMA Echo award. Marjorie led the social marketing plan and execution for one of IBM’s signature customer events, IBM Connect, with over 5,000 attendees. In her current role she focuses on integration of IBM signature events with social marketing and organic web presence. Prior to joining IBM, Marjorie served as a direct marketing publishing industry consultant to Hearst, TV Guide, Time Inc., and Jim Henson Productions.
